The 2019 Point to Pinnacle will be held on Sunday 17th November and the below road closures will be in place
Sandy Bay Road, Byron Street and Davey Street up to the Southern Outlet will be impacted from 6.45am – 8.40am
The Southern Outlet will clear between 7.40am – 8.00am
Davey Street / Huon Road will be impacted from Southern Outlet to Summerleas Road from 7.00am – 10.00am
Sandy Bay Road
North bound Lanes – Closed 6.45am – 8.30am (All north bound traffic will be diverted up Nelson Road)
South Bound Lanes – Open but traffic will be stopped at 7.00am and 8.00am for the start of each race until all participants are out of Drysdale ave (Casino Drive), across Sandy Bay / Nelson Road intersection and in the North bound lanes of S’bay road. (10 minute wait each time)
Byron Street Closed 7.00am – 8.30am heading up from Sandy bay Road to Davey Street
Byron Street Open heading down from Davey Street to Sandy Bay Road
Davey Street – Full closure of the two Right hand lanes between 7.00 – 8.40am
Davey Street will be held at Hotel Soho intersection across Molle Street as Walkers and Runners cross Davey Street to get into the 2 Right Hand lanes of Davey Street….when there is clear times at Byron / Molle, Traffic Management will allow traffic up Davey Street and down the Southern Outlet. Traffic will clear between 7.30am & 8.00am
All participants must be past the intersection of Davey Street and Southern Outlet by 8.40am, then normal traffic flow will recommence for Davey Street up to the Southern Outlet & including the Southern Outlet.
Huon Road will be closed from from 7.00am – 10.00amÂ
Lynton Ave from King Street to Huon Road closed from 7.00am until 9.15am
Pillinger Drive to the Pinnacle of Mount Wellington will be closed at Huon Road from 7.00am to 12noon
# If the alternate course is used due to extreme weather stopping the event from reaching the Pinnacle – Huon Road will be closed from Summerleas Road to Huon Road intersection beyond the Longley Pub from 8.00am – 12.00noon
Please avoid these roads during these times as there may be lengthy delays during the indicated times
